Wondering if any body knows if the gate is open from the hungry Valley area to head up to the top? Heading towards Alamo mtn

That's my neck of the woods. But I haven't been up that road in a while. Call the station they will know.
 
If you get there before 7 am you get in free. Otherwise they hassle you for money even if you explain you aren't there to ride their trials. Can't really stop you from entering the forest but they try to squeeze you for money anyway.
 
Never had a problem with them
They see the camo and let us through
