hello - i am wondering if anyone in the greater san diego(ish) area would be willing to show me how to spin a barrel on/off. Yes i could pay a smith to do it, but would like to learn how to do it so i can do it myself down the road. I'd rather not learn this via youtube haha.

Lunch/beers ect... are on me!

Thanks!
Tj

You need a barrel vice, an action bar, aluminum shims and powdered sugar.
yes and an action wrench. just hoping to watch someone who has done it a bunch do it before i do it on my own so i don't screw up my barrel on the first attempt.

Yes, the powdered sugar keeps the shims from slipping on the barrel.

Action wrench/bar same thing. And if it is a Tikka, you will need a cheater bar.
