Mountain Lion Attack

Mountain Lion kills 100 pound German Shepard in backyard. A while back I there was a discussion about the mountain lion problem in ca. and I said I didn't think there was a problem. I suppose it was only a matter of time. I'll be interested to know if there was anything identifiably wrong with the lion, or if just couldn't pass up on the hors d'oeuvres any longer. Think how a predator must feel living outside Fontana, with all those pets in yards.

There's been a problem since 1992 when they banned people from hunting them.
There numbers need to be controlled in order to keep some kind of balance.
Hopefully some day the Idiots in the state Leg, will figure this out, but I doubt it.

Don't they know that bullets come back down. What if a gnat catcher was just hanging out and a bullet fell on him. HE COULD DIE!


I am going to see if we can get a depredation permit. Ill swing by the pound pick up a stray and maybe load up some dog sounds on the hell fire. I do not fire warning shots

I'd take the media info about shooting in the air with a huge spoon full of salt. I doubt it BUT if it is true........embarrassing.

Yeah, it sucks for the guy but the owner needs to take some responsibility here. Any dog named Princess has to be pampered tasty morsel. That poor cat couldn't help itself. The owner should be glad that he didn't get sited for baiting.
