Wow... never thought they came this far west. But as the article says... May have come down from Mission Trails.

A mountain lion was hit and killed Tuesday morning on Interstate 8 near La Mesa. It’s the second time in the past three months that a mountain lion has been killed on a local roadway.

Miss managed animals. Seems as if there is an over population of cats due to the wandering into populated areas for food.

I can't find the picture right now, but a friend snapped a picture of one in the Tijuana River Valley right off of Dairy Mart Road a couple years ago. She was running with friends on one of our normal trail running trails... Lots of domesticated farm animals and pets in that area!
