I spent my turkey opener in Ramona at the Spring Fling livestock show. My daughter is raising a steer through her FFA. This beast will be at auction this June and you can fill the freezer without worrying about tag soup or a sore back.

Dad was able to sneak out Saturday morning and it was silent and hot. Saw three hens and almost got heatstroke trying to haul ass to get back to the truck so I didn’t miss one of the steer events.

If you need a good write off and some amazing steaks hit me up. It ain’t cheap but FFA is a 501c3

Time sure does fly she’s headed to Texas Tech this fall with a goal of majoring in meat science and AG business.

I’ll take a ribeye or tenderloin over turkey any day! Best wishes to your daughter - hope she gets a nice reward at the action for raising that magnificent animal!
