What else do you guys/gals do besides hunt? I would say all my hobbies have to do with the outdoors. I hunt, fish, ride dirtbikes, and recently got back into Mtn biking. I try to do all of this that I can with my wife and 2 boys.

Race cars and road race bikes (before having kids), I'm just glad I can do all my own work on my cars... This is on top of turkey hunting, duck hunting, deer hunting, keeping hog dogs, bow hunting, and fishing. I'm forbidden to take on anymore hobbies. Oh and collecting guns, although my wife put a limit to that now :(

I resemble these problems. For hobbies I hunt, hike, dive, spearfish, mountain bike, bowl, shoot pool, bow fish, bow hunt, shoot 3d, shoot pistols for 3 disciplines, target shoot, shoot shotguns for sporting clays and pot shoots, train and hunt with my GSP, do taxidermy and euro mounts ( more like a side job) and so on. Add that to family time and day to day operations and spare time becomes a precious commodity. At least we can all say that we have lived full lives.

I was thinking hunting as a general but when you break it down to, dove hunting, quail hunting, archery hunting, deer hunting, coyote hunting and the occasional turckey/duck hunting along with a few trips to the Sierra's then she kinda has a point. I didn't think of the offroading, gun collecting, target shooting, reloading and tuning/teaching of all my friends bows. I spent a good part of a weekend a few weeks ago rebuilding my dirtbike along with other weekends working on cars. :eek:It's a wonder she puts up with me ;D

Where do I start? Hunting period !!! Fishing, free diving, spear fishing, camping, wrestling ( not wwe) like actual wrestling. Wood working, guns, BOOKS!, small engines, just about anything I can tinker with !.

My Wife freaks on me every other day, like where did you spend 330 bucks!?

I have to go in to the hat and pull out the old WHO PAYS THE BiLLS!!!!

Hahaha no I catch grief but for the most part she doesn't care this is how I was when we met.

I have ADD and am super obsessive Over anything that catches my eye, IM going to say this one time.... stay away from them dam rc cars, not the toys r us rc cars you get for your kids, no I'm talking like the gas cars or the electric cars, money pitS!!!! There bad butt and I have 3 they all are lighting fast stop on a dime and I got a traxxis slash brushless 4x4 it goes 70mph in a blink of an eye and is a tank. Bottom line is, if you smash a curb or a neighbors truck tires or what ever, BAM there goes all the money you spent on it pulse the money in after market parts cause your buddys put money in to there cars and u want the same so u run to the hobby store and drop a couple hundred bucks at each visit.

Stick to hunting fishing and stay away from rc anything, spend the money on an out of state hunting trip cause god knows you can pay for it if you can afford a rc car

That's the one hobby my wife says no too

I got rid of the last wife that said I had to many hobbies.

I'm just a duck hunter who Has side projects.

My wife is awesome! She loves camping and hiking with me and our 3 girls. She is ok with my gun and archery collection ( not how much money I spend on it) and now my new hobby of hunting she is.....umm tolerant.

After 16 years she is the best woman God could have given me.

My wife wasn't trying to tell me I need to get rid of some hobbies, it was just brought up in conversation. She's the best thing to happen to me.
-stikbrandon... Haha, totally get what you mean on the RC cars. We have 3 Slash 4x4's, a Summit and Revo all brushless with lipos. My oldest son, some friends and I destroyed the grass in my backyard building jumps for RC cars and 50/110cc dirtbikes. My wife hated going in the backyard for the longest time because of it and the dust we made(now my older one and his friends build bmx dirt jumps). We could get the Slash to do triple backflips and while doing it over a lit BBQ, good times, we couldn't put them down till something broke. It's a good pastime for all the kids around camp in the desert too, you could really open them up for longer distance and not have to worry about curbs/neighbors. We actually haven't touched them in over a year(pretty sure they are all broken somehow), they are sitting on a shelf in my garage but my 5yr old has asked about them lately so I need to pull them down for HIM ::)

There super fun but they are super expensive ,

Good luck on getting the 5 yr old to understand that the cars shatter if they hit a curb at 50 mph!

Just getting back into hunting, bringing the wife as my hunting partner. Other hobbies I would say are the shoot trips with my three girls, until they can pass the hunters safety course that is. I used to play scenario paintball, but not anymore. Try to get a few fishing days in and get some spring/summer camping trips in too. Now with the wife holding a hunting license, camping trips can be scouting trips too.
