Recently I got a very generous ofer from a friend of mine who had a extremely rare Kai ken hunting dog that was imported from Japan. I my self have three rare Kishu ken hunting dogs that I my self brought over from Japan and so I figure what the hell my oldest male is too old to hut so lets try out a slightly different breed.
Now just a quick info on hese dogs, Kishu kens is a Japanese breed that has been used primarily for wild boar hunting for hundreds of years. The Kai kenoriginated as some what of a wild dog and have been developed to hunt deer and bear in the southern elps of Japan. This perticular female Kai ken, named Ame (rain in Japanese) is from a kennel that only breeds hunting Kais. Ame's dam has killed a Sika deer on her own while out on a walk and so I think I got a dog tht should have some potential to hunt hosg with my kishus here in San Diego.
