Hey guys im the new guy here.. Looking for some info on where in Ventura (port hueneme) area there is some good deer or turkey hunting. i know i should just get out there and look but a little info would be great.

I'd be looking for bear up that way. Los Padres Natl. Forest, San Rafael Wilderness, Dick Smith Wilderness. There have been some big bears taken in Southern California mountains.
 
welcome, hwy 33 has good bear and deer country, but, u will run into tons of people, so be careful, i was born and raised in hueneme, now im 100% SD 8)
