Just want to say Hi. I am new to the forum.
My real name is Lee. I live in East County grew up at East County of San Diego. near Alpine, Harbison Canyon.
I have seen many changes here. less Hunting Spots than I am use to.& to much development.
I took a time from Hunting to raise a family and working too many hours.not what.
I have been back for 3 years started bow hunting with traditional.
although I have been hunting since I was a Kid.

Since our 2nd amendment rights & our hunting rights are under attack I decided to joint this forum.
& I enjoy the company of other sportsman. :)

Welcome lonbow. What kind of bow are you flingin arrows with. I just bought my son his first bow...a longbow.

Welcome to SCH. Great bunch of folks here.

Captaintb, you're right on there being deer here.
My wife left for work the other morning and called me saying there was a big doe that ran in front of her while she was going up Mountain View.

I use a ragim fox long 50LB longbow. I use victory 3050 carbon arrows with magnus stingers, + home made broad heads.
my second bow is a samick spirit 2 45LB recurve. use same arrows.

I nailed a deer (doe) the first year. 2ND year missed a fork buck.
this year no luck yet because was to far away for my setup.

I generally can hit a plate size target up to 30 Yards. I work hard at 40 Yards.

I may dust off the rifle this year for the general rifle hunt this year. or I may use my 175LB crossbow
