Daryl thank you, I will try the 85Gr Barnes for 243,
Punkur67 yes was checking out the Berger Calculator, only has Berger bullets, I got confused with the Barnes Loads for 308 on the first page has 1:12 twist rate except for the 200 gr has under the loads a 1-10 or faster twist rate. the 168 gr TTSX BT has nothing under the load data. which lead me to to believe 1-12 and faster was acceptable. so I thought, so I am very hesitant and relying on you folks.

this bullet requires 1-9.25 or faster for 243, my rifle is barely in at 9.25

for the 308 win I am Going to try the 165 gr TTSX BT good BC .442 and SD .248 and see how it does with POI

well I received my 7.3 mm tap drill, and my 5/16-36 tap today , so I used the drill press and drilled and tapped a fired 243 cartridge , lol was not pretty on first try but it worked.
next time remove the primer it will be easier. verified the bullet seat to the lands the the Hornady lock and load OAL and comparator, 2.050, I need to totally clean my rifle then recheck it.

Well I had to pause again, I received two nasty orders from my customer, and I am getting a headache from it. trying to keep my sanity. once I get organize will start again.

Jumping to copper bullet's, looking at Barnes ttsx for 80-100gr 243 and 168 gr 308, see if my barrels can handle it.

Well this was the last time I practice with my savage edge 243 . I got a good one I guess. This was a 50 yards. This will be tough to follow.
