Sorry it took so long to finally get back on here, this past week was the muzzleloader ibex hunt and we had some success on opening morning. I had been down in the Floridas first of the year my buddy had a bow tag, obviously this proved tough to get within range however we did get several LONG shots. These are amazing animals, would highly reccommend putting in for this hunt for anyone. We saw probably 50-55 goats opening morning including 5 massive mature billys. I think I got some good scope cam pics hopefully I can get those posted soon.

Awesome, probably one of the hardest hunts out there! Being a bow hunter I'm also curious how far is a "long shot". Congrats!

Ya I would consider the bow hunt for these critters the ultimate challenge. It is definately a team effort, you need spotters on the bottom with good glass and good radios! We would glass some goats then guide the shooter up onto them. I guided one guy into a group of 7 billies 3 of which were huge, he got right onto them and missed at 60 yards which should have been a done deal but he had a case of billy fever. As for the our long shots you must realize that these guys are avid bow hunters and had been practicing these long shots for months in advance, we got 3 other shots at 120 yd, that is a pretty good poke for an animal the size of a regular goat.

The goat we killed was broke off on one side. The other goat was a skull that my buddy found, the same guy who had the bow tag, he was able to tag the skull and keep it, real rare find.

This wasn't the one we were after exactly but couldn't pass him up, he measured about 36. We have another friend who killed a 51 inch billy I will try to get some pics of him. As far as judging these guys, 40 in is pretty good 51 is just stupid big. However I believe we saw several that were pushing 50 inches

Those are cool pictures!

I'd be a LOT uncomfortable with a 120 yard shot with a bow. 60 yards is more in my range.

Great pics KC...

You shouldn't have to download them. They show up fine on my browser.

thanks for help with the pictures, my girlfriend used to be the computer savy one haha, I have some videos of some good billies I will try to post tomorrow, it was blowing about mach 2 when i shot the videos but you can still see pretty good

Looks awesome do u have to draw those tags? Public land? I would like to see the bigger one
