Plantar Fascitis?

I keep a field hockey ball in my freezer just for this! I've never had a serious bout with it, but it helps when it flares up! My wife had a similar issue, can't remember the diagnosis, and the doc told her to get New Balance 990 series shoes. That's all she wears now! Everywhere....
 
I've worked with a lot of PF in my day. A good place to start is using a tennis ball or lacrosse ball (if you can handle it) to roll out the tissues between your heels and balls of your feet. Then foam rolling calves preferably with this guy: 5 Inch Orb. Then lacrosse ball on your hamstrings, sit on a hard high chair or counter so your foot can hang. Lastly try rolling out your shins and quads like this:
