I am writing to you regarding the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget Reductions, specifically those relating to “Increased closure of City reservoirs for recreation”.
1. We believe the San Diego Lakes should be open to all responsible outdoor recreation equally.
2. We believe everyone should equally pay to use these resources
3. We think the generated funds cover the direct overhead costs to maintain the staff and facilities
4. We think there are solutions to cut direct expenses if necessary and are happy to sit down to discuss.
5. We believe there is an opportunity for San Diego County to help with operations and costs
