We rarely ask our members to do things but I urge all of you and I challenge all fo you to get involved. Whether you carry a bow, a rifle or a shotgun; it doesn't matter. Please read below and get involved. Please....

This, below, is from our lobbyist. The fight on the lead ban is getting down to the short strokes. We need people to make their voices heard. She provides a link, below. If you scroll down, there is an ad.

Also, people need to write letters. I have also attached a good example of a letter.

From Kathy Lynch:

-- As you all know this is a very challenging year in the California Legislature with a multitude of firearms bills and anti-hunting effort by HSUS. We are fighting back against the HSUS , Please see the ad below in the Capitol Basement( media outlet in legislative quarters) regarding AB 711. Please click on it to hear the radio ad running in the Sacramento media market.

We want the Fish and Wildlife Agency, the governor, the legislature, public and stakeholders to hear our concerns. Please take time to do the following:
1) click on the Ad and take action
2) call the Governor
3) call the director of Fish and Wildlife and tell them to stand up for sound science and hunters
4) call your legislator-- the bill is in the senate so focus is on senators. The link is below if you don’t know your legislator
5) get this out to everyone and your chapter members to take action

THANK YOU!

FYI: Capitol Basement Ad re Human Society, AB 711

The current CEO of the Humane Society of the United States, Wayne Pacelle, is on record as telling his supporters:

“We are going to use the ballot box and the democratic process to stop all hunting in the United States. . . We will take it species by species until all hunting is stopped in California. Then we will take it state by state.” -- Full Cry Magazine, October 1, 1990

-Here is an interesting article on the double standards of the legislature related to firearms/hunting issues and how the fiscal impacts are being hid. Maybe let your thoughts be known to your elected officials. Kathy

Just sent an e mail to the Governor.
I helped do my part. How many people can we get on here that say ( I did my part )?
We need every member to send an e mail and let us know you did your part. If you don't it's like saying you don't care.

We had a little good news yesterday. AB711 has been placed in the Suspense Files. This is only Temporary but it is a start. We must celebrate the small steps and continue the big fight.

CRPA appreciates your support!
Good news regarding AB 711!

Thanks to the efforts of our CRPA members and our aggressive Legislative Advocacy Program, AB 711, the bill banning traditional hunting ammo, was heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee and sent into the Suspense File. Although this does not kill the bill, it presents a major hurdle.

Thanks again,

John Fields - Executive Director

Hold on to your guns!
This year the CRPA is tracking an unprecedented number of bills - 51 to be exact - that could impact firearms owners and sportsmen. Most of this legislation is vehemently ANTI-GUN AND ANTI-HUNTING and outright attacks your gun rights.

For more information on these bills visit our Bill Status Update page here.

Contribute to CRPA's lobbying efforts!

YOU ARE THE CALIFORNIA GUN LOBBY! BE PROACTIVE AND GET INVOLVED

I did my part and sent a letter to each of these folks:

SenatorJoel Anderson - District 36

Assembly Member - Shirley N. Weber

DFG Director - Charlton Bonham

Governor - Jerry Brown

And please do not sit back due to the post above by Wheels. It is temporary and will go back into motion if we continue to do nothing.

Received my first letter response today -

The format is due to his canned email setup on his website.
