Well... I do remember seeing deer getting spooked while passing-thru climbing up and up on whatever that expert trail is that goes way back up behind Sandbox. And goes way up high. When you're at the top of that one you can look back and see a huge swath of the 5 Fwy, and Snow will seem to hang around for a significant bit in the shady parts way up there in the winter months. Those dumb signs at hungry valley are garbage. They are just a dumb silhouette figure with a red line over it. What is the legal meaning of those signs? I assume they mean no shooting but it could also be seen as no guns, no target shooting, or no hunting so they are asking for confusion with those things.
The hunting West of the OHV area sucks anyways. No deer, bear, quail, rabbits, predators, or ducks.
That one goes for quite a ways around back in there before eventually making it's way back down outta the hills somewhere a little after Smith Forks Campground as I recall. The downhill trek back outta there is long and slow and windy and burns your triceps on the way down from riding the front bakes all the way back down since it's a narrow goat trail.
And there are definitely Jacks in Hungry Valley. Not a lot... but I had a few times where I chased 'em down on Moto
