Dear SDCWF Delegates,

Please encourage all members of your organization who have any
experience with rattlesnake avoidance training to participate in the
survey described below. The reason we have set up this survey is
because the San Diego County Board of Supervisors is currently
considering a change in County code to permit the resumption of
rattlesnake avoidance training in the County. In the course of
listening to testimony give at the recent BOS meeting, it was clear that
there are very few statistics on the effectiveness of such training.

To participants in the survey:

Please read the questions carefully. The wording may appear cumbersome,
but we are trying to obtain statistics which are objective and which
address the various issues associated with rattlesnake avoidance training.

Please answer the questions honestly. We are not trying to "game" the
results, but to obtain objective data which can be presented to the
Board of Supervisors.

Please submit only one survey form. If you have more than one dog,
include the results for ALL of your dogs on a single form. The form has
been designed to facilitate this.

You can fill out the form online by going to the following link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Rattlesnake

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey. Once the
data are collected, a summary of the results will provided.

Regards,
Bob Smith
President, San Diego County Wildlife Federation
