SCH Annual New Mexico Elk Hunt has begun

Just got in...left the elk on the hill tonight. Tomorrow we will look at a known good area and if we don't see something we can kill, we will go up to the top of the mountain and get them. We are trying to avoid having to saddle horses to get the meat out.

Looks like fun. But I don't understand what is going on. You guys can see elk on the mountain but you want different ones? Where did they get the first 3?

We just shot 3 elk on the highest point of the ranch! Pictures to come shortly. Walking down to the elk now!
