SD Tuna in july

Would late July be a good time for a 3 day out of SD?

It would be a first for me, some friends that fled this horror of a state put out the invite.

September is best with August and October a close second. If that's all you got I would say go do it. Lots of time for the captain to look around amd find something to catch...

When the yellow fin take off Aug.Sept. there can be some crazy ass wide open bites. Non stop action. Size, anywhere from footballs up to 40# nice capable fish. A three day trip at that time can be productive because you will go farther down into Mex. waters.
