Just accepted a job in Slana beginning in late may and running through end of September. I won't have the facilities for any big game hunting, but think I'm going to bring along the trusty 12 gauge and see if I can get into some upland birds. With that being said, anybody have any tips/advice for the area? I've only ever bird hunting in CA and AZ for ducks, geese, quail, chukar, and dove and I know Alaska is a whole different ball game. Would appreciate any tips/advice... oh and I won't have a dog either.
