Snake & Rabbit cooking?

Hey dude. Check out the recipe forum for what the locals like. I personally have grilled, braised, and stewed rabbit. I intend to fry the next one if it's tender. Preparation, marinades, and cooking are not unlike chicken (though rabbits are much leaner).

If you're looking for something a little more elevated, check out Hank Shaw (http://honest-food.net) who is an ex-chef turned hunter; focussing on wild game.

I picked up his first book randomly a few years ago because it looked like it had some useful information on foraging (and fish). Then I started following his blog. I had been thinking about taking up hunting, but reading this book convinced me.

Now he has one out dedicated to water fowl, and he's doing a book/dinner tour. Including a visit to San Diego Dec 14th. I'll be there.

I am not related or pro-staff or anything. Just a fan.
