Spoonies up 100% in SoCal?

Wow. Surprised to see that SJ beat Mendota in Cinnamons. It is quite possible that is the case every season, but I just was not aware.

the Lcra spoon numbers were down for the year. Massive jump in cotton tops and teal last year. Every year is different :)

Didn’t see 1 spooner at the American river, just mud ducks and green heads.

Hummm...pins up 12% statewide and 40% in So. Calif. yet they knocked the limit down to 1 this coming season.

Totally ridiculous....They can't control Mother Nature or the farming practices in Canada....So, they come up with a model that has zero impact on the overall numbers of pintail....The limit should be 7 just like most other ducks.

Restrictions have been implemented on canvasbacks & redheads since I started hunting waterfowl (1969)....There's no more of either species today than there ever was....Hunting has little, to no effect on overall numbers....It's been proven time and again that hunting is compensatory.
