Visited one of the parks today near my house.....And there he was, the mythical Storm Widgeon.....A real beauty for sure.....And of course, untouchable......

The best one was when sluester had one on his tail gate in a photo. Someone spotted it and said omg omg omg.

They are wigeon that carry the white or blonde color all around their head. Wigeon normally have grayish/black flecking.

A good specimen is pretty rare. I'd say even more rare than a Eurasian Wigeon in the continental US.

I've been involved in a lot of widgeon being taken over the years. I've never seen or heard of a friend ever taking one (storm).....On the other hand, I've held 2 euros.

Trig, I know they are seeing more and more eurasian wigeon up north every year.
