Howdy fellas, I just completed my switch barrel rifle. Chambered in 40 cal smokeless muzzleloader, and a second barrel in 7 Sherman Short. The 40 cal muzzleloader shoots a very high BC aluminum tip bullet (no sabot) at 2750fps. Yes that’s right 2750 FPS, @200 FPS slower with BH209 @holydiver90 already killed a Coues deer last year @300 yards. The rifle shoots under 1/2moa as a muzzleloader with witnesses who can testify! I just finished load development on the 7SS and it shoots great. Truth be told it’s shoots amazing. I’m shooting 180 Berger’s @2850, I am shooting in a slower node as the barrel brakes in. Only 30 rounds and load development was done (for now) it shot a node about 1g wide! 60-61g of RL26 shot beautiful. I’ll post some pictures of the groups with both the 7ss and 40 cal. It’s a Kelbley action, AG stock, trigger tech, and the barrels are Proof and Hells Canyon, NX8 2-20 on top. 7SS chambered at FF in la Mesa.... oh one more thing, it’s a single shot.... cuss who needs a second shot anyways!
