Supposedly the spot had to be filled by somebody from Hawaii and the pool of who he could pick from sucked.

Appointing Judges to Senators liking is a courtesy going back years but there is no legal binding. Just like the some of the rules in the senate ...well most of the rules in the Senate. They are agreed upon in committee. POTUS can appoint who he wants. If you are a cuck like GWB you don't put up a fight. But if you are a real MAN like DJT you do what is right. The 9th is a giant judicial cluster fuck and POTUS is straightening it out along with "The Turtle". The 9th isn't the 9th of two years ago lets just put it that way
