Took the boy fishing today

Took my son up to Fred's place today to do a little fishing and he did pretty good. We landed 8 and lost several due to vegetation or bad hook sets. I got a lighter rod to be able to whip thin senkos out and it did that well. But the soft tip made for soft hook sets. I switched to a heavier rod and our success rate went up. Most of the fish were hooked on creatures, a handful on thin senkos, and a few on the spinner bait. Thank you very much @Snake Charmer !
