Remember you're in California. Do you have a trapping license ?

;D

I had two traps out last night. One did not see any action, the 2nd trap did trigger.... No prey tho....

Dry snap

Headed to the sea tonight to hit the swetline . I'll reset both traps tonight before I leave. I can hear it now, the wife will call screaming about the rat flopping in the back yard and I'll be 90 miles away
:)

The rats will come in from the side if you let them. Block off the sides so the only way they can get to the bait is straight in. Then you won't have any dry snaps.

Need to set some traps too they always come around my place this time of year.

This^^. You have to funnel them in. Make it a one way trip into the trap. Why do I keep following this thread like its a hunt and hoping to see success pics? lol.

Always put the peanut butter only on the bottom side of the pan.........Trust me, I'm a professional......... ;D

I've already trapped four rats and a mouse, plus one rat that I scooped out of the pool, in the last month here where I'm renting. One corner of the yard (next to a big bush) always smells like a hamster cage, so I'll keep up my efforts. I've had a lot of Peanut butter go missing from the trap, and a few snaps that didn't catch anything, and one songbird. That's a great idea to put the PB on the bottom of the strike plate.

That works well. We use one when camping to keep the mice out of the trailer. Caught 12 mice in one night before. They drown and the trap keeps working.
