Has anyone heard anything about this and know what it may entail? I randomly came across it the other day and noticed it listed SD Bay NWR.
Steve,
Yea but you could use live decoys back then , weight them to the spread so they could not leave and train what was called a Judas duck to fly around the spread with a string on its leg so everyone knew not shoot the duck that brought the wild ones to you. Those were the days....steve had to park his buggy over 300 yards and walk.. tough times back then

Steve,
Where would you hunt from? Is that dike stretching from the Cays/IB? Was it all freelancing?
Fred,
I'm 72, but I do love the history of waterfowling in SoCal...And I'm old enough to have caught the tail end of a great era of hunting here.
