It’s that time of year again and I am thankful to have enough points to draw Panguitch lake general deer hunt again. Dad and I hunted it in 2018 and had a wonderful hunt. Cold as it was we are better prepared this time with a canvas tent and heater. Last time we hunted up there I used my 243ai with 115g berger bullets.. Now the internet tells me you can’t kill deer with anything smaller than a 30 cal so I guess I’ll have to pack something a little bigger 25x284 sounds like a winner. Anyways just goofing around. Greatful that dad should be able to join on one last Utah hunt. I’ll add some pics from last time we were up there.

Points for everything this year since retired and started new job but the next three years should be stacked great for elk tags

Last time I was there the forest was devestated by beetle kill... very sad for me. Points for me in Utah this year... Wy elk tag and daughters wedding... Ed F

I hunted there a couple times. We have good accommodations a on standby any time we need it but I dont like that end of the unit. Good luck we hunted there last year and man child got his first buck. It was damn cold last year.

Hope you have a great hunt! I love hunting up there with uncles and cousins but that point creep is killing me.
