Taking the family on a two week pre-deployment vacation to Yellowstone via Zion and Bryce. Pulling 26’ camper. Staying with friends in Jackson, b/c nothing is open in or around YS.
Trying to plan our trip back. Not too familiar with Utah, know some of you guys hunt that. Anywhere near the 15 that has good mountain camper camper camping?
Wife is a glamper and the three heathen off springs just want to seek and destroy.
Thanks for advice.

I cannot advise you on specific places to camp but I just rolled back into town right now from 2 weeks running around Utah. We started in Zion, went to Bryce for a day, then blasted over to Moab and explored Arches and Canyonlands Parks. Zion requires a few days to do it justice in my opinion. We did one day in Bryce and I felt like we saw most of it, I’d say two days would allow you to really be thorough. You could explore Arches in 2-3 days. Canyonlands is immense and would probably require 4-5 days if you really wanted to see everything. All of the mountains still have a lot of snow and there are roads closed so keep that in mind but you can get to around 8,000 feet right now. There were a lot of BLM camp opportunities around Moab.

My suggestion, beat feet from jackson to lehi, stay at a koa. Visit Cabelas and Sprtsmans Wearhouse. Then south to Vegas. There's nothing along 15 worth staying. Lived in Utah for years east of Nephi. If you have time take hwy6 from Spanish Fork to hwy 89 then south to Salina. Hit 70 west then 15 south. Lots of cool places to stop and check out.
