Ventura county quail (rose valley)

I hunted up in rose valley for about 2 hours yesterday and didn't see a single quail. I saw a ton on hwy 33 on the ride up in ojai on the way up. was i in the right spot?

I grew up hunting around there, go past lions camp! Hike in there a few miles. Rose valley is done after opening day. Too many people!!!!
