I'm not sure if it's a lion at 47 yards attacking a cow a lion at 11 yard staring at Josh. The last lion I called in the 25 at night.

Last deer season me and a buddy watched a Golden Eagle try to get a medium sized deer for about 10 minutes. Full-blown dive bombs talons extended. Deer got into some thick vegetation but every time It tried to get out the eagle divebombed it.

This was kinda interesting. Couple of the neighbors dogs. Pretty sure the black one wouldn't have made it if I wasn't there.

Nothing as exciting as a lion encounter, but my dad and I watched a pack of coyotes take down a button buck while turkey hunting in the Kaibab........There were I think 5 animals. They had that buck down and eaten in no time.

Another amazing sight was watching two white-tail bucks go at it in Montana.....Knock down, drag out for about 45 minutes.

The other sight that's still vivid in my mind is when I was hunting up off the West Walker above Bridgeport......I had brought my dog Mike with me, so I could hunt chukar after deer hunting......I had only walked a short distance up off of Hwy 395, when I heard Mike bark.....I look up and here's this big buck pawing the dirt & busting brush with his antlers.....He looked like a bull charging Mike.....My biggest buck to this day was the result.

Sorry no pix of the coyotes.........lol

.

Dude when was that and email that to me.

That middle one is huge

I thought it was pretty cool watching a mule deer fight a white tail, then me killing the white tail after it got beat up, in Montana.

And another time me and my hunting partner watched the biggest bobcat I've ever seen beat the crap out of a coyote.

And this time I wounded a quail with my bow, and the quail tried to run then a hawk swooped down on it and stole it from me, while I was like 50 yards away..

I've flushed quail and seen falcons pick them off. The same with jumping ducks twice I can remember that was cool

I watched two coyotes chase a medium sized forky down a canyon about a half mile. The deer then decided to go uphill and got blocked by thick brush. The coyotes started circling it and biting at it's back legs. After a few minutes of that the deer decided to charge one of the coyotes and stuck it into the dirt and kicked it's a$$. Coyotes didn't want anything to do with it after that.

Dang. It happens fast.

Good you were there man! I have never seen yotes do that but hear them alot in the spring in the early morning. I live in town and see them running the streets. Keep my little dogs in at night and know they would be an easy meal.

quite a few things...
1. a kitty that came in on me when i was napping in the woods near Wolf Creek Montana. note to self, nap with a rock or tree at your 6 to keep head attached to neck.

2. watching my dad take his first archery bull elk that i called in for him. Then tracking it for a mile because he jerked it hard right./ same trip my dad getting to watch me shoot a bull that then almost ran him over as it ran off.

3. early 80s pacific coast of baja north of SQ about 20 miles. at a place that does not even exist any more, every pintail on earth spinning around in a tornado over our heads, Must have been 30k+ birds they cared little that we were just standing in awe at them. Was when i learned that sometimes you put the guns down and just watch.( yes you can hear ducks poo as they fly around like that)

In northern Mexico state of Chihuahua sierra madras, while hunting in the big pines for big Mules, saw a flock of large parrots squawking and landing on large wild sunflowers in the middle of no mans land.

while bear hunting in the state of Washington walked right in a herd of elk with no elk tag.
lucky I did not get trampled.
