Planning a goose hunt for next year for the Sacramento area. I hunted with Blake this year and stayed at Granzella's. I really loved Granzella's so I am looking for another guide that hunts the same area. Just want to try someone besides Blakes. I am torn between two guides, Whifflemaster and Kenny Begley.

Anybody have an opinion?

My old buddy Ken Begley comes highly recommended........Even saw some of our old honker stumping grounds today out by Temecula.......Great guy.

I spoke with him on the phone last week. I really liked him. I've heard great things about Chris at Whifflemaster too so I wanted to get opinions.

I know nothing about Wifflemasters, but as far as Kenny, he is the man.

Kenny and Phil and maybe another person or two broke ground on a very uniqe way of calling snows some 40 yrs ago, there are a handful of us who still use these calling techniques today. My success today is abosolutely connected to what these guys did 40 plus years ago

Dang Stef.......Is Phil Sims guiding with Ken?......I remember him vividly calling snows at Wister when I worked there......Nobody, and I mean nobody could call like him (not even Smitty).

I don't think Phil calls with him, but the two of them created something that still works today. Wonder how many 10s of thousands of geese met their maker because of them
