Long story longer, as they say....
Had a neighbor 10+ yrs ago that was from Finland, huge hunting fan, all the gear and know how. Got me interested then, spent a season or two hunting duck at Lake Cuyamaca and 5 stand trap shooting at the range.
Had a blast, He since moved to Texas and my hunting / shooting days with him.
Pan to a couple weeks ago, mini-vacationing in Oceanside at the beach with some out of town family. One day rained so hard just spent the day in bed watching Netflix.
Wife came across this show 'Meat Eater'. Instantly hooked. Must have watched 3 seasons that day.
Several weeks later, as of today; (2) Compound bows purchased on CG, PSE Brute X, for me, and PSE Chaos for my wife (trying to get her involved, seems a good sport so far, and hope it makes my life easier...) Just got them fitted and getting them tuned at Performance Archery in Mira Mesa. Also, Picked up 2 entry level guns that come in on Sunday Nov 5th; Remington 870 express and a Remington 783 scoped .270 bolt rifle. Plan on doing some minimal mods to make both more user and hunting friendly,
Forgot to mention I have an obsessive personality trait
Doubt I will have the know how to hunt this year, but extremely interested in learning the ropes and picking up as much knowledge from ya'll as possible.
