Got an invite to hunt Texas over New Years. It had been over 20 years since I hunted anything with a rifle and I kept thinking, "What would Hatchet do?" So I said yes. Had a great time and ended up getting two hogs, 188 and 153 lbs and a whitetail buck and a doe. I used my father's 270 that was handed down to me when he passed.

Very nice, looks like a good time. Mammal hunting is appropriate anytime after waterfowl season ends.
