Recently, turkeys are all on private land and their numbers are way down. Turkeys only live 3-5 years so this 3 year drought has decimated the populations. Consider My Country Club (MCC) for a good chance at turkeys and I think they have a good population management by not allowing Hens or Jakes to be taken (but check on this be cause I not certain).
Yeah people hand feed them so they go to safe zones

Yeppers, I past on a Jake.I don't blame the folks who feed turkeys. I agree with Tom and Kyle that what really hurts is when experienced hunters shoot jakes. Experienced hunters ought to have the self-discipline to pass on a young bird in order to help the flock grow; after all, we claim to be the leading force for conservation, and our actions should show it. That's just my opinion though. It's legal, so they are within their rights.
