One of my best friends owns a great club near Westmoreland.....With our two wildlife areas being so poor lately, it's an easy choice to hunt the club.....Started off very slow and to be honest, there weren't a handful of ducks on the entire 240 acres.....That all changed when two Marine helicopters flew low over Unit 1.....Birds were everywhere and started trickling on to the club.....By 4:00 pm (we started at 1:30), Mike and I were done.....7 gadwalls, 2 mallards, 2 spoons, 2 cinnies, 1 greenwing.

I think things will change for the better soon.....Appeared to be 30,000 snows on the refuge too.

Looks like a fun day Steve. Nothing cooler than that entire flock of snows over your head when your in a blind.
Just to throw this out there but if anyone gets the entire flock over them please don’t shoot. All you will do is train 30-40k snows where not to fly.

Our military heros come through again! Looks like a white Christmas coming.

Aaron,

We did a little better than zip....The young man I was with got his 1st redhead & cinnie....Other than that, it was pretty brutal.

ps.....Got a rooster Friday....So, I had that going for me....lol

Good job on the Ross's normally I feel like I end up with 3-1 snows to Ross. I made goose jerky last year it was awesome. Another favorite is goose machacha in the crock pot.
