I grew up in South Texas; we had tons of Jack Rabbits. Now I live in North Texas and hunt we of here however; I've never seen a Jack in that part of the country. I quit eating cotton tails, the last one I shot in the dead of winter had worms.

I tried public land hunting ONCE, 98% of Texas hunting land is private. I'm blessed that I have a place to hunt where I don't have to put up with others.

I made a call from a squeaky toy, I removed it from the toy hollowed out an a whitetail antler and epoxied the squeaker in it. I've called a lot of yotes in with it.
