Just accepted a job in Slana beginning in late may and running through end of September. I won't have the facilities for any big game hunting, but think I'm going to bring along the trusty 12 gauge and see if I can get into some upland birds. With that being said, anybody have any tips/advice...

No bueno... haven't heard or seen a mq. All my valley quail spots are burnt...fresh shells at each spot and no quail to be seen or heard. Saw hundreds over summer but they put the slip on me. Need t find some new spots. Bum on the grouse too. Talked to some people, didn't see any as well. Too...

Thinking of finally investing in some electronic decoys, buddy of kine had the mojo but we don't always hunt together. As far as I can tell on the regs, as long as wings do not spin electronic decoys are ok before December. Anybody know if this is the case, or are they only good after December...

Word for the wise - find some of us locals before you come up and try to make some hunting friends around here. Lots of good spots ruined due to pressure from tourist hunters who use google maps to find their spots. Make some friends, buy us some beers at the bar, and you're much more likely to...
