Hell yea man that is freaking I was hoping to head out this turkey season for my first bird hopefully) but unfortunately my plans had other plans. But that is awesome congrats.

Yea we came across another hunter side of the road waiting for a buddy that was going chukar on some club they were in and he told up to head up that way...and got ya on the time I figured it might have been...so basically we were looking to high of an altitude area

We made down there roughly about 7...no we didn’t we don’t know the area I believe antelope valley. Then came across a quail hunter that told us we were to low and into the valley so he said make our way up to Ramona and lake Sutherland.

Yea I had another word of mouth say there were some but not fully credible source

Wow what an awesome thread and advice... gonna definitely look into trying to join up with other hunters hopefully lol. I hunt with another buddy ( well trying to) lol...we actually went down to sand Diego today in search of a hunting spot for turkey but were unsuccessful. But really thank you...

So not looking for specific just general yes or no answer...have searched Cleveland National forest for turkey but is a ways away from me to keep driving down every weekend. So question is there turkey in the San Bernardino mountains that you know of?

Well went down to CNF by San Diego county and unfortunately found no trace of turkey but that won’t stop me lol....did come across deer tracks though.

Thanks for the heads up and advice. If all I come across is poop or a print I’m happy. Plus gets us a chance to check out terrain and scenery.

I’m actually heading out with a buddy tomorrow to burn some gas thread and sole on boots. First time turkey hunting but gonna check out a couple spots to hopefully get a better idea. I just hope to see some sign of turkey life out there lol.
