Interesting, but I'm not sure that's really "live," since this time of year it's not bright and sunny out at 7:55 pm, as the video shows right now.

I "accidentally" harvested a Merganser a few years ago, and with the exception of vermin, if I shoot it, I eat it. I was actually surprised it wasn't too bad. I'm still thinking the cormorants wouldn't pass the taste test. I believe they may have to be classified as "vermin" also.

Likely CA will outlaw that.

Isn't that the high-tech agricultural inspection station where they find hidden fruit in your car using that new high-tech detection system? They approach your car and look at you and say, "Got any fruit?" How high-tech can you get? I'll bet they catch a lot that way. Years...many years...

I don't know if anything has ever been "officially" proposed, but I think many of us have thought about "managing" those buggers at one time or another. I wonder how bad they'd taste, being that they're fish eaters

Yeah, SJ is slow. Every once in a while, someone will find the "X" there and do ok, but in general it's a better-than-sitting-on-the-couch option. I believe for as long as I can remember, they've averaged less than 2 per person on the opener, and usually it's been closer to 1.

I can relate. I pulled a good old-guy brain-fart the other day. It might not sound as dangerous as a firearm in the washer, but it was probably more life-threatening, as I am married. I got up the other morning and got the coffee maker set up, put the sweetener and creamer in the mug, started...

Well, while I hope it's true, I'm not going to hold my breath until he does the perp walk.

They're probably hoping that it will somehow deter ICE from pepper-spraying protestors. I know it doesn't make any sense, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was a back-door motive.

I'm thinking they could kill two birds with one stone here. If they plant grizzlies in places like downtown San Francisco and downtown LA, they could successfully reintroduce them and also solve the homeless problem without any impact on the state's deer herds from grizzly predation.

I wouldn't call this a "new" war since they've been killing Americans for 47 years. BTW - When it comes to nukes, "imminent threat" is too late.

One of my pet peeves. In a state that hates guns and sportsmen/women and would love to take guns away from them, they will use any excuse to close a shooting area or to close hunting on a wildlife area. It's probably just luck that some bigwig politician hasn't visited one of these areas for...

Well, I don't think I'd be tempted anymore. I am about five lures away from needing a luggage cart to carry the tackle bag out to the boat...but...come to think of it, maybe I could still do it if I only got four...where'd you see this?

Just because I'm nosey, does anybody know what happened to that "other" website with the rotund owner who seemed to like banning people? Even though I was banned from there millennium ago, I still check it once in a while, just out of curiosity. It just doesn't come up anymore.

They're a tourist attraction.
