    First Year Dove Hunting

I've had some decent shoots out toward the East Highline Canal near the wildlands. I think they were flying between the wildland, citrus groves, and a nearby feedlot. I lucked into them 2nd season while rabbit and quail hunting.

    Hell yea, nice work.

    Good luck

Slow start for me too but became steady singles and doubles every 15-20 mins or so. Had to leave at 8am and finished with 10.. they were still flying. Came home and made poppers and ribs.. kids favorite.

It happens.. I've had memory cards stolen out of my cams before I locked them up. They're scouting on my dime

    First Year Dove Hunting

Got down there a little later than planned but there was definitely less birds in my spots than usual. Not saying it'll suck but maybe have a couple options open in case your first spot sucks (maybe just my spots suck?). I hit a euro spot in Plaster City on my way home and found a crew of guys...

    2025 D16 Baddie

Scouting before season shouldn't spook him too much unless you run up and try to touch him. Biggest thing is if you're in a popular area, since come general opener, it'll get crazy and smart deer bail. Big tip during season is to come back on a random day like a Wednesday. Less (or no) hunters...

    First Year Dove Hunting

Taking a drive around the IV to scout is fun in itself. Things change.. crops change, access changes. If you're scouting for doves, you may also find good quail and rabbit spots. Bring a rod, drop a line in a canal. Maybe even run into some euros flying and shoot some. Good times!
