AZ trail cam ban coming

Bad news for guides good news for your average hunter in my opinion. One of the biggest things driving this is guys are starting to run cams and sell locations of big animals online.

no sh$t???? Iv never heard of that.

Its a decision based on efficacy, which is needed at times to continue and allow opportunity.

I really like the idea that was proposed of being illegal on public but legal on private land...but I am sure on private they could say something about using them to spot trespassers. Lol

How do game cameras have any political affiliation? This is not a red or blue issue this is a fair chase issue and it warrants an honest discussion. Technology is getting better and better if they don't get ahead of it we will be pinpointing deer on ONX in the next decade. Boots on the ground and get in the glass.

Exactly, if hunter success rates go up near 100% then how often we will actually get to hunt? For example imagine if D16 only gave out 300 tags a year instead of 3000. Waiting 3 to 4 years just to hunt in your own backyard. I rather have a tough time hunting every year than a shoe in every 4 years.

Trail cameras are bad? I run them, they're helpful. They do not guarantee you an opportunity at anything. I can see the age class of bucks, the numbers (roughly) of different species, I have had certain deer on the cameras for years and I can follow along with the fawns they raise. Give people an inch of your freedom, they will take a mile. If you dont like the practice, thats fine, no one is forcing it. But banning a camera is ridiculous.

When it comes right down to it everything becomes political. Libs. wanting our gun, they can't get them or sholuld I say they have not got them so far. Ammo is getting harder to find, hunting bears with dogs outlawed, lead ammo banned, lead weights for fishing is next. limits on how many guns we can buy, limits on how much ammo we can buy, restriction on bringing ammo into Ca. from other states. they won't stop until hunting is band all together, and they WILL use politics to achieve their goal.
