Ya he ideas on the deer destroying native plants is BS. I hunted out there in 2025 and saw first hand the fenced off areas. They looked no different than the non fenced off areas. Actually some of the non fenced off area were more lush.
Hunted there for years in the late 80,s and early 90s archery only..before they helislaughterd the goats and pigs...those where the days for sure...the nature conservancy sucks and don't know one thing about conservation ..or care..nothing like a Catalina goat ...don't make um anymore . Damn .
such a bummer. Glad that pristine island will stay pristine, oh wait there are 2 cities and an airport on it...
