    Javi

Unfortunatley not. I just went out for a few days. I agree, definitely fun to hunt and great stalking practice.

    Javi

Went out for Deer and Javi for a few days. I love hunting this time of year in the desert southwest. I ended up passing on a smaller 3x2 in pursuit of a stud 5x4. I got close to making it happen but couldn't seal the deal on him. Well, like so often happens, time has slipped away. However, I...

    School me on muzzle loaders

Got it. States are pushing back (rightfully so) on muzzleloader technology so you may want to be careful how much you spend.

    School me on muzzle loaders

Looks like a killer setup. My muzzleloaders have fallen victim to seldom use as well so I wouldn't spend any more than what you have here. PS, I think Optics Planet has the Mark4 for $699, I think thats a good deal but I am not super on top of that stuff.

    Stink pigs trip this weekend

Lots of fun! I'd recommend cooking them over coals in ground heavy on the marinade Hawaiian style. After 12 hours dig em up, eat the coals and throw the pig to the crows.

    Any 308 fans? What load?

No brake and no plans for one but it certainly could be added. His 300 has one. I am not sure how far a rifle that light can be shot accurately but there is a 90% chance it's inside 400 (probably 100-250) and another 50% I'll be with him with the better-suited PRC for him to use should...

    Any 308 fans? What load?

I was hoping you would chime in. It's probably safe to assume *any* hammer 154/138/124 will shoot well? I would be a little worried about the 124 on heavier animals, would you run them on out-of-state deer/elk? I am also worried about recoil with the heavy pills, the gun will be about 5lb 8oz...

    Any 308 fans? What load?

Are you running Varget also? What fps and barrel length if you don't mind?

    Any 308 fans? What load?

Powder? My dad is no PRS guy so ES doesn’t mean much.

There’s the controversy I was looking for. Let’s see what the light bullet fairy boys come up with for a defense

    Any 308 fans? What load?

Dad picked up a light weight 20" 308. It'll be used for western hunting, deer and elk mostly. 90%+ of the shots will be inside 400 yards. I am liking the 168 Hornady Eld-M, the factory load has great numbers. The Hammer 138/154HHT looks nice also. What say you?

    Concealed Carry Hand Gun

Have you shot one? What has worked well for me, my wife, and my sister is going to the local range and renting/shooting ($10/per, sometimes free) all the pistols I am interested in. Then I buy the best fit. Funny enough, we've never bought the one we thought we would based on reading about...

    A22 Season

I did see a whopping 27 of 1000 hunters punched their tag last year.... I wonder what it will be this year. I did notch the d16 tag but didn't get out for a22.

    Looking for lab pup

Be very careful with the silvers. From what I know, breeders only breed for silver color and disregard all other health aspects, generally speaking. Our buddy has has his fair share (1/4 silver).
