D11 Coming Up and I've got 10/14 Off

I was hoping to get out there on opening day but prior obligations have me locked down. Luckily, my boss is giving us 10/14 off but now I've got no one to watch my 6 and vice versa. Anyone need a wingman? This is my 1st year so don't expect much from me. I've got 3 spots I've seen some...

Just when you least expect it

Just got back from hunting rabbits and scouting deer. Humped 3 hours in San Gabriel mtns and didn’t see any rabbits. Glassed when I could where I could and saw no deers either. Got back in my car and was on my way home when I decided to check out a spot before getting off the mtn. Driving and...

Sorry for your loss. Remember....it's not "goodbye" but "see you later".

    I’d like your opinion.... kids?

Ruger 10/22 compact. My girls love plinking with this. Seeing how they are young, you don't want them to shy away from firearms by starting them off with anything bigger than a .22.

    Ca big game

My 1st year hunting in general and got D11. I hear I have alot of work ahead of me. I know I have to put in my due diligence and have already started scouting. Any veterans have any good tips for D11?

New to Hunting New to Supplies

Hello everyone! I'm just starting getting into hunting this season and was wondering what kind of gear everyone suggests/uses. The firearm(s) and ammos I have down as those seem easier to research but when it comes down to scopes, range finders, bino packs, knives, camo apparel, scent blockers...

    Quit Smoking tobacco

Congratulations! Even a day of not smoking after smoking that long is progress. It took me several tries after 25 years but I’m back on that horse again (the quitting horse that is). You got this. Stay physical, busy, and eat healthy. All that will feel like a waste if you start again so you...

I already looked at that but time and distance won’t allow me. Definitely want to get to know everyone on this site though.

Late to the Turkey season, but better late then never

Thanks! Nice to meet you! I’m in the Cypress area. Just a Ruger 10/22 and Moss 500 20 gauge. Looking to get a TC Compass .308 soon for deer. Just started this year and haven’t gone on any hunts yet but hoping to hunt anything my family and I can eat.

Late to the Turkey season, but better late then never

Thank you! No one I know hunts but I’m trying to get my bro to start with me. What better way to use your firearms rather than to have it sit in the safe or on a trip to the range.

ilovesprig, beautiful birds! I just got into hunting this year and on this site. Hoping to pass the knowledge and my experience onto my kids later on. You'll be seeing me more often on the boards!

    I Need a New Backpack

This is pretty light and durable. You can do alot with this and not break the bank.
