over the past few years, D-14 has gotten very popular and crowded. Which is a real bummer to me. There’s 3 main areas people go. And people will pack them selfs in those areas. Are you planning on camping? How much are you realistically capable of hiking in a day.

Ya. I was figuring it to be in Texas & for eradication. I do understand the damage hogs do to the land. But finding things like this funny & wanting to blow up animals in the first place, I just don't understand...... Also even though it's for eradication, It's still looked at as hunting to most.

I don't agree with that in any sense. That is distasteful. Take some pride in being a hunter.

If the 300win isn't funt to shoot, then the ultamag really isn't fun.. your over thinking your first rifle. Don't try to have the coolest rifle or show off to your buddies that you have the biggest or fastest caliber. 243, 7-08, 308. these are great rounds, no questions asked, can't go...

Exactly what Aron said. The 300 isn’t fun shooting. I spent a good amount of money and time to make mine shoot comfortably. And it give me a nasty twitch. Don’t get hung up on the flatter trajectory.

I really like the way it came out. You did a great job on it.

I'm a fanatic about my 7mm-08. I personally think its an underrated round. But it's limited on the factory ammo bullet weight. I reload so I get to take advantage of other bullet weights. I would steer clear of the 300win mag for a first rifle. Especially in a light budget rifle. But's that...
