    Gear

I was once apprenticed to a guy from Argentina. They speak portuguese. His parents were English and Italian. When he would explain what needed to be done next it often came out in all four languages, english, spanish, italian and portuguese. Kind of a challenge.

    Turkey Hunting

The best turkey hunt I ever had was putting them to bed. Then the next morning I knew where to find them.

That was a normal sized bob cat track. There is a HUGE one west of Angeles Shooting Range. 'Bout 90+ lbs. Tried to bump my car off the road.

Crazy feds with itchy trigger fingers

BLM land? Take to Hon. Terry Hatcher at USDC. Watch the ticket writers stain their pants. Watch their boss's boss take the spanking.

    How’s your quail season going?

Envious of your season. Got burglarized in last March. Just got to see two of my guns this week. If you haven't been a good little brown shirt and registered your guns with the state (bought before 2013) vee haf weys of punishing you. And they do with endless forms over property I own. If...

    Rabbit hunting near Santa Clarita?

I have been the victim of a 'stick-up' by the greedy people at the kiosk. The solution is to get there before they do. 6:30 or 7 am usually works. Yeah there are jacks up a ways. And when you get there early you see 'em on the road.

    New to hunting d13

A .22 is a good way to unnecessarily harm deer. Why not take a sharp stick? You don't really want to kill it but torture it. I'm disgusted.

    D11 Quail

No one is going to rent you a dog. After years of hunting without one I bit the bullet. He is now my best friend and hunting companion. I would sooner rent a child. He has taught me more about birds than any book. You have to pay your dues to be successful.

    Hot Tips!

Have carried a floor jack in any vehicle I drive for years. They ALWAYS work. And 'cheaters' are mandatory. Idiots at tire stores rarely care if you can get the wheel off. But when you are 4,000 feet up on a dirt road....

    More federal gun control.

What's going to happen when they realize someone could be stabbed with a butter knife? Or a spoon? Nailgun? Sharp stick?

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

For reloading the two calibers I shoot I found watching the catalogs was a good way to save money. Also for stuff like the scale you can go check out Harbor Freight. I found a cheap digital that has helped dial in loads. But then I am not going to hang a sign "New Remington/Winchester/etc...

The copper bullet are they up to the quick kill.

I want to begin Reloading. Which is a Good Kit to buy?

If you want to spend big bucks go with the recommendations above. If you don't want to load 10,000 round a minute, just enough to shoot. Look at Lee''s. Good quality stuff, not fancy, truly hand load but works. I have a Lee handpress and dies and I can load nontoxic stuff for about 1/3 of...
