Don’t beetles leave a lot of grease in the bones that requires an extensive degrease process? In my experience with maceration, the bacteria do a pretty good job getting in and getting rid of the grease/oils etc. inside the bones. Does take a while to complete

Maceration takes some time but it’s really easy and the results are good

I think you might be confusing spine for weight, spine numbers are deflection with a set weight between 2 points, in .001 of an inch , 300 spine is .3” deflection, ie. stiffer than a 340/.34” spine, and likely a heavier arrow due to extra material providing increased stiffness.
