I own a VX-5 and love it. It’s more of a hunting scope not a long range scope in my opinion. As far as clarity goes Leupold glass for $1000 range is amazing. I’ve shot my friends rifle with his AMG scope and they are top of the line long range scopes. These two scopes are completely different...

Went out early this morning couldn’t get any birds to commit to coming within range. Loaded the boat and the wife to go fishing this afternoon at San V and it did not disappoint we had a great afternoon bite. .

Great choice on your rifle and scope! My only complaint about a brake is throwing ear plugs in before I pull the trigger while hunting. Other then that they are great. I wish I put mine on earlier. John installed my brake on my tikka t3 .300wsm. I would say cut recoil by 50%.

I am in the same boat. I’m going with the Kuiu tent I like their customer service better and would rather give them the business than REI even if they are a little more.

I have a tikka t3 .300wsm my only complaint was recoil but after I put a muzzle brake on it it’s a great rifle. Because it’s a short action you save on weight compared to a WM. I shoot 168 barns TTSX and It’s extremely accurate. .

I just got it but so far i really like it, yes it’s a 3-15. I ordered the CDS dial I have not used it yet. I had a vx-3I on it before which is an awesome scope but the vx-5 is worth the extra. To me I couldn’t justify the price difference from the 5 to the 6 with my capabilities.
