I worked my lab for this event. Quail unlimited deserves a lot of credit for making this happen. Very good turnout and good attitudes all around. This was my lab’s first outing since knee surgery and she had a blast. No pics from me. Too busy planting birds when not running the lab. John

Hunting now with my one year old lab. Shot a double on Gads. So, she has two retrieves so far today. She has much to learn. Fun watching a young dog making sense of it all. John

There are times she would think about it when our truck and Labs looks like a Wister Mud Bomb hit us. You should hear her when she sees the Labs and is trying to get the mud off. John

I caught this one next to my garage. Let him go miles away from my house in the middle of nowhere. I was wearing snake gaters and I have snake tongs. My wife was also watching me with a loaded 1187 in case things went side ways. John

Look at Trigs set up. See how many standing decoys he has set up and how they are set? Standing decoys really add a lot. I am not a big fan of Mojos but you need to run them at Henshaw. John

Henshaw is pretty much about the Wigeon. Get some full body Wigeons as well. I would definitely have some Mallards in the spread along with Green Wing Teal.
